See public X, Reddit and Instagram posts without an account. Official embeds when the platform allows it, archived snapshots when it doesn't.

What we do

  • Render a public tweet through X's official embed endpoint, the same one news sites use, so you can read it logged out.
  • Open the Internet Archive's captures of a public X profile, Reddit post or Instagram page inline, with a timeline of every capture by year.
  • Build X advanced search queries, and route the same intent to logged-out sources when you have no account.
  • Let you open the archive ZIP X sent you and search your own tweets, entirely in your browser.

What we don't do

  • We do not mirror. No page on this site fetches x.com, reddit.com or instagram.com on your behalf. That is what Nitter and xcancel did, and why they were shut down.
  • We do not scrape. The two sources are the embed endpoint X publishes for websites, and the Internet Archive's public captures.
  • We do not store. Nothing you look at is saved. We keep anonymous counts of lookups and whether they found anything, and nothing else.
  • We do not show private accounts. Protected X accounts, private Instagram accounts and private subreddits were never public, so there is nothing to show. No site can, and we will not pretend to.
  • We do not notify anyone. Viewing an embed or a capture never touches the account owner.
  • We are not an archiving service and we do not control what the Internet Archive has captured. The Request a capture buttons hand the URL to the Wayback Machine's own Save Page Now.
  • We do not claim ownership of any post shown here. Content belongs to its authors and, where applicable, the platforms.

Where the captures come from

The Internet Archive keeps an index of every page it has captured, called the CDX index. PeekVault asks that index for the URL you entered, under each domain variant the archive might have filed it (twitter.com and x.com; www.reddit.com and old.reddit.com), and turns the answer into the capture timeline. The snapshot reader then loads the chosen capture from web.archive.org with the toolbar removed. That is the only place on this site where the word CDX appears, because for a reader it is an implementation detail.
