Terms of Service

Acceptance

By accessing or using PeekVault, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

What PeekVault provides

PeekVault provides free search and preview of publicly available posts and pages, with optional paid passes for full results and exports. It shows content through the embedding features that platforms make available to the public and through snapshots kept by independent public web archives (such as the Internet Archive's Wayback Machine).

PeekVault is not the source or host of the posts it displays and does not keep its own collection of them; short-lived technical caching may be used to keep the service working. It does not use anyone's account to reach content, and it is not designed to give access to private, protected, or login-only content. What you can see depends on what those third parties make publicly available at the time.

Paid passes and refunds

A 24-Hour Pass costs $5, a 7-Day Pass costs $9, and a 30-Day Pass costs $19. Each is a one-time payment with no account or automatic renewal. Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout. The access period starts when payment completes and covers all supported PeekVault search and export tools, subject to archive availability. Buying a pass does not guarantee that a particular post was captured or can be recovered.

Stripe processes payments through its hosted checkout. We use signed cookies to keep access in the browser used to pay and to recover a completed purchase when you return. If you clear browser data or change browsers, contact us with your Stripe receipt instead of buying another pass to restore access.

If paid access or a paid export fails and we cannot restore it, we will refund the purchase in full. Contact us through the Contact page with your Stripe receipt. Any rights to a refund required by applicable law remain unaffected.

Your responsibilities

  • You are responsible for how you use PeekVault, and for complying with applicable laws and with any third-party terms that apply to you.
  • You may not use PeekVault to get around access controls, to reach private or non-public content, or to violate anyone's privacy, publicity, or intellectual property rights.
  • You may not use PeekVault to harass, stalk, threaten, or impersonate anyone.
  • You may not access PeekVault with bots, scrapers, or other automated means, collect its output in bulk, or resell or redistribute it as your own service.
  • You may not attempt to disrupt, overload, abuse, or reverse engineer the service.
  • You must follow the Acceptable Use rules.

Third-party content and services

All posts, profiles, images, and other material shown through PeekVault belong to their respective owners and are provided by third parties. We do not control, review, or endorse that material, and we are not responsible for its accuracy, legality, or availability. Third-party platforms and archives may change, limit, or withdraw what they make available at any time, and PeekVault may stop showing it as a result.

Your use of any third-party platform or archive remains subject to that party's own terms and policies.

Trademarks and no affiliation

PeekVault is an independent service. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by X Corp. (X / Twitter), Reddit, Meta (Instagram), the Internet Archive, or any other platform or project named on this site. Their names and marks belong to their respective owners and are used here only to identify the services that publicly available content comes from.

Copyright, removals, and rights-holder requests

If you believe content shown by PeekVault infringes your rights, please see DMCA / Copyright for how to submit a request. Platforms, rights holders, and people who appear in displayed content can also reach us through the Contact page. We may remove or disable access to specific material at our discretion.

Changes to the service

We may change, limit, suspend, or discontinue any part of PeekVault at any time and without notice, including to comply with the law or with a third party's request. We may block or restrict access for anyone who we believe is breaking these Terms.

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT ANY CONTENT SHOWN IS COMPLETE, CURRENT, AUTHENTIC, OR UNALTERED.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, PEEKVAULT WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR REVENUE, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE OR FROM ANY THIRD-PARTY CONTENT. TO THE EXTENT ANY LIABILITY CANNOT BE EXCLUDED, IT IS LIMITED TO THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US TO USE THE SERVICE, IF ANY.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold PeekVault and its operators harmless from any claim, loss, or expense (including reasonable legal fees) that arises from your use of the service, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date above shows the latest version. Continuing to use PeekVault after a change means you accept the updated Terms. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest stays in effect.
